Drob this site rules. I only wish I had a chance to meet Dave and know the rider/skater he was. Look forward to riding with you, Oscar&Hugo on the 23rd. Oh I ran into Butthead at Felton and he wanted to contact you, because hes looking for a "true freecoaster" for his bike. Let me know.

I am tears as I write this. I met Dave and some of the other Curb Dogs when I worked at Del Mar Skateranch in the 80's. I was dreaming of my youth and thought about contacting old friends, Dave being one of them. This lead me to your website. I am shocked and saddened. Dave was so much fun and was a great guy. I am so sorry.
Anybody know what happened to Cameron? Another eighties Curb Dog?

WOW! I just came across this site and it brought back a rush of memories. I managed to read through a good deal of it already and plan on reading it through again. Vander was definitely one of my favorite riders from back in the day and I still think of him from time to time. I always wondered what happened to him when I seen the memorial page in Freestylin'. Of all the magazines I read back then I managed to keep a few and the one that still remains is the BMX Action with Vander on the cover doing a track stand? Anyway, thanks for the great site! RIP Vander, your memory lives on! AJ

I remember Dave very well from Joey's back yard to Golden Gate park for his birthday. All the boy's who used to hang with Dave, Vince Joey, Mondo, Jay Jay ect. at the Bayfair Bart.Never forget the Curb Dog event at the Marina when riot cops had to break up the comp. I was in the front of J Hernandez's wagon when it all started. Still have the video some where. Well Keep The Dogs Barkin. Skid

I was into BMX back in the early 80's and remember reading about the Curb Dogs in the UK publication BMX Action Bike. Of all the articles I read and pictures I saw those are the only ones that stand out. 2003,a decade later and I have renewed interest in the sport, I put 'Curb Dogs' into my browser and found this site. I did not expect to find such a sad story. On the bright side Dave is as much of an inspration to me to get out there and ride now as he was back then. A true innovator, respect is due. RIP Dave

I knows Dave from the Germany Skyway Tour in the 80s. It`s really sad to read this after all the years. Rest in Peace Dave! Greetings from Deutschland!

Maurice & Dogs -
Glad to see there is tribute to the roots & riders of SF Bay/NorCal freestyle.
I grew up watching and hanging out with these characters, and am glad to see someone has dedicated a site to it.
Any reunion 'ramp jams' or events at 'The Park' soon??!!
Regards,
